Unlike many other dermal fillers that use hyaluronic acid to plump up the skin, Sculptra takes a unique approach. It is made from a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic material called poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), which has been used for many years in medical devices, such as dissolvable stitches.
Sculptra works subtly and gradually over time for a more youthful-looking appearance. Unlike traditional fillers that add volume, Sculptra stimulates your skin’s own collagen production to increase facial volume that has been lost due to aging.
