Why SkinPen PRP is a Game-Changer for Stubborn Acne Scars

Getting rid of acne scars can be tough. Most topical products do not go deep enough, and makeup often cannot fully cover skin imperfections. SkinPen PRP microneedling is a popular choice for people who want real improvements, as it targets scars that other treatments often miss.

Soothe Medical takes this treatment further by combining SkinPen microneedling with PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin), offering even more benefits for treating acne scars.

Why Acne Scars Are So Hard to Treat

Acne scars develop because inflammation damages the skin layers, disrupting collagen production during the healing process. The process causes permanent skin damage, leading to textured skin and scarring that cannot be treated with skincare products. Treatment for acne scars requires methods that activate collagen production inside the body instead of focusing on skin surface rejuvenation.

SkinPen microneedling is one solution that addresses this problem.

How SkinPen Microneedling Works

The FDA has approved SkinPen as a medical-grade microneedling device that creates tiny channels in the skin. These small injuries trigger your body’s natural healing process, leading to new collagen and elastin that help build healthy skin.

Unlike home devices or dermarollers, SkinPen lets professionals choose the right treatment depth, which helps protect your skin during acne scar treatment.

The Power Behind SkinPen PRP. Why it Matters

Soothe Medical uses PRF exclusively for SkinPen PRP treatments because this method produces better regenerative outcomes than other options. PRF is derived from your own blood and contains a higher concentration of platelets, white blood cells, and fibrin. The primary benefit of PRF stems from its ability to release growth factors that persist in the body after the initial release period.

The application of PRF immediately after a SkinPen microneedling treatment allows the substance to penetrate deep into the skin tissue through small channels, resulting in accelerated wound healing and enhanced collagen formation. The treatment method works best for acne scars that other medical approaches have failed to address.

What Makes SkinPen PRP Ideal for Acne Scars

  • This treatment improves both the texture and depth of acne scars.
  • It encourages collagen production, leading to long-lasting skin improvements rather than just temporary volume.
  • Works well for people with all skin types and tones.
  • The treatment period remains short because patients only need to experience redness for 24–48 hours as their only side effect.
  • The results demonstrate continuous development, which becomes more apparent throughout each week.

Patients typically experience significant improvements through treatments, which should be performed every 4–6 weeks until they achieve their desired skin results. The skin develops a smoother texture, becomes firmer, and achieves better skin uniformity during the treatment period.
